The march, which will take place in Bogota, is themed “Great Seventh Avenue March with Cuba.”
Due to the stifling policy implemented by the Washington government against the island, there have been several demonstrations of support for the Cuban people in Colombia.
Members of the Women’s International Democratic Federation (WIDF) in Colombia reaffirmed their support for the Cuban people on Saturday at an event held at the Cuban Embassy in this capital, where they delivered essential products.
The donation, which includes powdered milk, baby diapers, and hygiene products, was collected thanks to various women’s rights organizations.
FDIM’s global vice president, labor activist, and former Colombian Labor Minister, Gloria Ines Ramirez, stated that the organization stands in solidarity with Cuban women and the entire Cuban people, who have been facing the effects of a siege imposed by the United States government for more than six decades.
