The previous result published by the Red Crescent Society reported 201 dead and 747 wounded. The Washington-Tel Aviv joint offensive has claimed the lives of hundreds of people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and security officials.

In response, Iran launched missiles and drones toward Israel, as well as attacks on US bases and interests in Arab countries, some of which resulted in casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, including ports and residential buildings.

Washington and Tel Aviv justify their actions by claiming that Tehran possesses nuclear and missile programs that pose a threat to Israel and US allies in the region.

Iran states that its nuclear program is exclusively peaceful and has no military purpose.
