From October 7 of that year until February 12 of this year, the army killed 962 men and 45 women from the sports sector in the coastal enclave, the PFA detailed in a report published here.
The total includes players, coaches, administrators, referees, presidents and board members, as well as staff working in sports federations and institutions.
The report indicated that the Palestinian Authority (PFA) suffered the highest number of fatalities with 565, followed by various Olympic federations with 317, and the Palestinian Association of Scouts and Guides with 125.
The report detailed that Israeli attacks destroyed 184 sports facilities, including stadiums, courts, halls, and administrative headquarters; 81 were partially demolished, and another 265 were damaged.
Some of the main stadiums, such as Yarmouk, Palestine, and Al-Durra, were converted into shelters for displaced people, it noted.
