The call underscores that this initiative joins others such as the European Convoy that recently traveled to the Caribbean nation, the Our America Convoy, and the Energy for Life campaign, all in response to the tightening of the economic blockade against Cuba by the United States, aimed at expressing concrete support for the Cuban people.

The event, themed “With Cinema and the Cuban People,” will take place tonight at the Zavattini hall and will feature the participation of Cuban Ambassador to Italy, Jorge Luis Cepero, as well as a live broadcast from Havana, with remarks by renowned actress and filmmaker Mirta Ibarra, director of the documentary.

This event is sponsored by the Cuban Embassy in this capital and supported by the Italy-Cuba Friendship Association (ANAIC), the Italian General Confederation of Laborers (CGIL), the National Association of Italian Partisans (ANPI), the Italian Cultural Association for Social Promotion (ARCI), and the Italian Federation of Film Clubs (FICC).

The source adds that AAMOD, a prestigious Italian cultural institution dedicated to safeguarding, researching, and disseminating the historical and audiovisual memory of the nation, aims to boost “a moment of information, reflection, and participation” on current events in Cuba and the importance of increasing support for its people.
