Extensive bombing of Iran, which launched missiles in retaliation

Tehran, March 28 (Prensa Latina) Israel launched intense bombing raids against various areas of Iran, targeting facilities linked to the nuclear program, economic sites, and the Sharif University of Technology in the capital, the country's most important scientific institution.

Images circulating on social media showed long plumes of smoke and large explosions in Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan, and other cities in this nation, which has been under attack by Israel and the United States since February 28.

A steel complex located in the province of Isfahan and three nuclear program facilities were also targeted in recent hours in an attack involving 50 aircraft, according to Israeli sources cited by the Al Hadath channel.

The Iranian news agency Tasnim also reported that a methanol production plant and an industrial complex in the port of Dayyer, in Bushehr province, were bombed.

Meanwhile, the Fars news agency reported five dead and seven wounded in an attack on a residential building in the city of Zanjan, and the Qatari television network Al Jazeera reported 10 fatalities from the same family in another incident in Qom.

In retaliation, during the night and early morning, Iran launched missiles at Israel, killing one man and wounding three others in Tel Aviv as a result of a direct hit.

Another Iranian security source told the regional television station Al Mayadeen that Tehran’s future responses will be more forceful following the bombings of the country’s economic infrastructure, which it considered a sign of desperation.
