According to a statement from the agency, the incident occurred Friday night and is the third such attack against the facility, resulting from joint actions by the United States and Israel.
The agency did not provide details on possible material or technical damage, or casualties, as a result of the impact.
Previously, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had reported that Iran had launched another missile attack against the same plant, following an incident on March 17, when a projectile struck the perimeter without causing any damage.
The incident occurred in the context of the offensive launched in late February by the United States and Israel, which resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries, as well as damage to various infrastructure projects in Iran, in an escalation that has the region on high alert.
