According to a military statement, the operation targeted a plant located in the city of Yazd, used to extract uranium from ore and prepare it for subsequent enrichment.
Israeli forces described the facility as a key link in what they called the nuclear capabilities production chain, noting that fundamental mechanical and chemical processes are carried out there.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reported that the Khondab heavy water complex in Arak was also targeted in an attack attributed to Israel and the United States.
For its part, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) denounced multiple attacks against industrial centers in the country and warned of possible reprisals. In a statement, the IRGC urged companies with US or Israeli ties in the region to cease operations and called on residents near these facilities to evacuate as a precaution.
Iranian authorities reiterated that they will respond to the attacks, amid escalating tensions following the start of hostilities by the United States and Israel in late February.
