Prensa Latina leart about the statement disiminated at the event held in front of a Banco do Brasil branch in the Brazilian capital, which decries the aggressions that worsened the Cuban people’s life.
This action, explained Antonio Lima Junior, a member of the Brazilian Communist Party, is part of other demonstrations in the context of the International Week of Solidarity with Cuba, promoted by the World Federation of Trade Unions.
He remembered that members of the organization Unidad Clasista (including himself) spoke with bank workers about supporting the Cuban Revolution during these difficult times.
He also gave the example that without electricity, many lives are at risk: newborns, patients needing surgery, and cancer patients undergoing treatment.
Given this situation, Lima emphasized the importance of international solidarity and promoting actions to alleviate this economic hardship. jdt/ro/dsa
