Russia and Ukraine exchange bodies of fallen soldiers

Moscow, Apr 9 (Prensa Latina) Russia returned 1,000 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers and received the remains of 41 of its fallen soldiers, according to a statement from the Eurasian country's Ministry of Defense.

The Ministry noted that in the previous repatriation of bodies on February 26, Russia returned the remains of 1,000 soldiers to Ukraine and received 35.

On February 2, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that since June 2025, his country has returned 12,000 bodies of soldiers to Ukraine, while receiving in return the remains of just over 200 fallen soldiers.
