The ceremony at the diplomatic headquarters was led by Ambassador Tomas Lorenzo, who condemned the ongoing siege by the United States government, the escalation of threats in recent months, the brutal energy blockade, and the statements by representatives of the US government elite regarding intentions of military aggression.

Lorenzo emphasized that in the face of collective punishment, the Cuban people offer the noblest and most admirable examples of resistance, a fact evidenced since January 29, when the suffocation was decreed in the form of an Executive Order.

Amid this panorama, a web of slander has emerged to discredit Cuba and label it an unusual and extraordinary threat to U.S. national security, or to designate it as a supposed state sponsor of terrorism.

This harassment extends to Cuba’s relations with other countries due to the constant pressure exerted by the United States on governments in the region, with the aim of isolating us as part of the imperial strategy, he stated.

He also emphasized that nations like Mexico, Russia, China, Vietnam, and other sister nations are pillars of dignity, whose people and governments do not yield, together with the members of the Our America Convoy, who defied the empire and offered their support, going beyond material aid.

Addressing the staff at headquarters, Lorenzo reaffirmed the call for national and international drive by President Miguel Díaz-Canel: “As long as there is a woman or a man willing to give their life for the Revolution, we will be victorious!” “The socialist character of our Revolution is not a phrase of the past, it is the shield of the present and the guarantee of the future!
