The handover ceremony took place on April 17 and was attended by the Japanese Ambassador to Cuba, Kazuhito Nakamura; the Vice-Rector of Cultural Development and Educational Work at ISA, Elizabeth Marrero; and the Chair of Japanese Studies, Cesar Towie.
The texts include study materials and reading materials that will allow students of Japanese to broaden their understanding of Japanese literature, as well as traditional and contemporary Japanese arts, the embassy explained on social media.
Kazuhito emphasized that the donation of books is a significant contribution to strengthening the bonds of cooperation and friendship between the two nations.
The publication also expressed gratitude for Kasumi Kaikan’s gesture and commitment to promoting Japanese culture.
