The competition, recognized by World Athletics as the National Championship and classified in Category B of the international circuit, stands as a track where every hundredth of a second and every centimeter can translate into decisive points for the world ranking.
With events starting at 7:00 a.m. local time, the program will open on Thursday with the 10,000 meters and will feature a range of finals in sprints, middle-distance, hurdles, jumps, throws, and relays, while Friday will include the 21-kilometer race walk and new track and field events.
More than just a calendar, the competition charts the course toward the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, with figures like triple jumpers Leyanis Perez, Liadagmis Povea, and Andy Hechavarria, and high jumper Luis Zayas poised to make the competition a stage for confirmations and challenges.
