The CTA-A reiterates its “categorical condemnation” of this action that, like so many others undertaken during the last 67 years against the Cuban Revolution, “seeks to undermine the foundations of a society that has made courage, humanity, peace, and resistance its raison d’etre.”
The United States and Donald Trump, in their eagerness to destroy Cuba, are distorting the truth, the trade union organization states, and attempting to blame the Cuban government for defending its sovereignty against attacks by mercenaries financed and boosted from Washington.
It also denounces the evident complicity of the US government with violent and terrorist actions planned from its territory against the island and the Cuban people, “systematic practices sustained since 1959.”
It emphasizes that, faced with mercenary attacks on citizens and infrastructure on the island, Cuba’s inalienable right is to defend itself.
The CTA-A thus reaffirms its full solidarity with Cuba, its people, and its leadership, and demands an immediate end to this offensive.
