In a statement, the Movement denounced the imperialist attempt to subdue the Cuban people by strengthening the criminal economic, commercial, and financial blockade, the arbitrary inclusion of Cuba on the list of state sponsors of terrorism, and the constant threats that violate international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
Such actions, far from weakening the revolutionary will, strengthen the determination of a people who have withstood more than six decades of harassment, the statement noted.
In turn, it reaffirmed its unwavering support for the indomitable spirit of the Cuban people, which inspires dignified peoples around the world with their daily example of sacrifice, creativity, and sovereign defense of their territory.
“Their peaceful yet firm resistance against attempts at domination constitutes a lesson in Latin American and Caribbean dignity,” it added.
The Movement also demanded the immediate cessation of all unilateral coercive measures and absolute respect for Cuba’s self-determination, and urged progressive and solidarity forces worldwide to redouble their mobilizations and denunciations against this new offensive by the empire, and especially against the Salvadoran people, the document concluded.
