During their meeting in the Vietnamese capital, where the Foreign Minister is on a 48-hour working visit, both entities reviewed the state of bilateral relations and emphasized the need to strengthen existing cooperation mechanisms.
They specifically mentioned the sectors of trade, agriculture, industry, fishing, telecommunications, education, health, and training, the Angolan Foreign Ministry reported.
The parties remembered the historical ties of friendship, solidarity, and mutual support that have united the two countries since their national liberation struggles, highlighting that this political legacy constitutes a solid foundation for building a strategic alliance oriented toward sustainable development, the statement indicated.
He added that on the legal and institutional level, “the importance of updating and harmonizing the legal instruments that regulate bilateral cooperation was emphasized, including economic and trade agreements, as well as the conclusion of negotiations relating to the Agreement to Avoid Double Taxation and Prevent Fiscal Evasion.”
