The Honduran Ministry of Health (SESAL), headed by President Nasry Asfura, convened a meeting for this Friday with the Honduran Medical College (CMH) to address the demands raised by medical professionals.
The CMH intensified on Thursday its pressure tactics, moving from informational assemblies, which started on Monday, to peaceful blockades of highways and streets in several cities and departments across this nation, including the capital.
These actions are a response to the non-compliance with agreements reached in April between the SESAL and the CMH, which remain unanswered by Asfura’s neoliberal administration.
The CMH has been holding, since early this week, informational assemblies at healthcare facilities across the country to demand compliance with the agreements reached on April 22 with the administration of President Asfura, who also holds the position of Health Minister.
