Bogota, Jun 7 (Prensa Latina) Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) reached US$3.794 billion in Colombia between January and March, representing a 34.4 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025, an authorized source reported.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, this figure also represents a 63.4 percent increase compared to the previous quarter.

The source noted that one of the main results was observed in the non-extractive sectors, which attracted US$3.166 billion during the analyzed period, a 49 percent increase compared to the last three months of 2025.

According to Minister Diana Morales, the growth in foreign investment is a clear sign of confidence in the country.

“These resources boost industry, strengthen trade, revitalize tourism, and contribute to job creation and well-being for thousands of Colombians,” he stated.

It was also revealed that the government will continue promoting strategies to strengthen competitiveness, facilitate new investments, and consolidate strategic sectors that will allow for continued economic growth, employment, and opportunities.
