Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian affirmed that the deep integration between China and Europe in industrial and supply chains is a result of economic globalization and market dynamics.
Lin pointed out that this interdependence stems from business decisions based on costs, technology, and efficiency.
The spokesperson questioned whether such choices could be characterized as excessive dependence.
He also considered the so-called diversification boosted by some European sectors to be a disguised form of protectionism.
Lin stated that those measures will not contribute to strengthening European industrial competitiveness.
