Putin sent a welcome message to the participants and guests of the Russia-ASEAN Business Forum, taking place in the Russian city of Kazan.
The president noted, “Russia-ASEAN relations mark their 35th anniversary this year. During this time, we have accumulated extensive experience in multifaceted cooperation, establishing strong ties, including between the Association’s Business Advisory Council and the Russia-ASEAN Business Council, and have created a solid foundation for the future.”
The Russian leader stated that Moscow and ASEAN have broad prospects for cooperation in strategic areas, including energy and food security, advanced technologies, peaceful nuclear energy, and connectivity in transport and logistics.
He added that the new tasks ahead include the active implementation of digital products based on artificial intelligence (AI) and the development of sustainable digital platforms.
Kazan is hosting the Russia-ASEAN summit from June 17 to 19, commemorating the 35th anniversary of relations between the two sides.
