Leaders of the Revoca EC Citizen Platform, which is boosting the initiative, will comment on the signature collection forms that the National Electoral Council (CNE) must provide if it determines that the petitions meet the requirements.
They will also respond to the documentation presented by the Executive in defense of the president and announce actions to demand respect for the right to citizen participation and democratic principles.
Two petitions have been submitted so far to the CNE to begin collecting the signatures necessary for the recall, established in the Constitution.
Both initiatives’ promoters state that the president and Vice President Maria Jose Pinto failed to fulfill the Government plan presented during the 2025 election campaign.
They mention, among their arguments, tax increases, the elimination of fuel subsidies, economic and labor reforms, as well as the promotion of extractive projects criticized by indigenous and environmental groups.
