Barrot stated, “We’re announcing today that in the coming days we will summon the Russian ambassador to France for consultations and will impose sanctions on nine natural persons and four legal entities responsible for this cyberattack campaign.”
The head of French diplomacy believes that Russia is carrying out a major campaign of sabotage and espionage in the digital sphere.
Barrot said these kinds of activities are directed against ministers, companies, and operators, as was the case, he affirmed, with a recent disruption to the railway network in Poland.
Moscow, in turn, denounces the lack of evidence to support the constant accusations leveled against it by European powers that do acknowledge its involvement in supplying weapons to Ukraine and providing financing for that purpose.
