During this stage, until August 5, political organizations will officially elect their candidates for President and Vice President of the Republic, governorships, Senate, Chamber of Deputies, and the state legislative assemblies, in addition to formalizing alliances.

Once the conventions are held, the political parties must submit the minutes through the CANDex system and subsequently file their candidate registration requests with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).

The legislation allows organizations to retain the acronym number used in previous elections, and the candidates keep the same number they used when running for the same office.

The schedule of national conventions will begin with the meeting of the Democratic Labor Party (PDT), whose leaders will gather in Brasilia under the leadership of the organization’s president, Carlos Lupi, to define the presidential candidate, electoral alliances, and other internal matters.
