Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning affirmed that Beijing took note of the reports published regarding the alleged development of such a plan by the United States.

Mao noted that China has repeatedly expressed its position on this matter and reiterated its call on Washington to immediately halt any threats of the use of force against Cuba.

The spokesperson also urged the United States to eliminate all forms of unilateral sanctions implemented on the Caribbean nation.

The official underscored that China will continue to firmly support Cuba in defending its national sovereignty and rejecting foreign interference.

Mao added that Beijing will work with the international community to safeguard international fairness and justice.
