The Latin American and Caribbean Solidarity Brigade with Cuba was inaugurated this Monday at ICAP’s “Julio Antonio Mella” International Camp in Caimito, a town in Artemisa province located 40 kilometers from Havana.
Gonzalez delivered the keynote address, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Cuban people for these actions aimed at breaking the coercive measures imposed by the United States against the largest of the Antilles.
The event also marked the handover of medical supplies, solar panels, and batteries to health institutions in Artemisa by the “Juan Ruiz Rivera” Puerto Rican solidarity brigade.
In exclusive statements to Prensa Latina, González outlined the commemorative program prepared by ICAP to mark the centenary of the birth of the Cuban Revolution’s leader.
Also inaugurated on Monday were the 35th “Juan Ruiz Rivera” Puerto Rican Solidarity Brigade with Cuba and the U.S.-based “Venceremos” brigade. The brigade members condemned the “maximum pressure” policy imposed on the Caribbean island by the Donald Trump administration.
