In a statement released via official channels, the group specifically addressed attacks against Senator Isabel Zuleta and Maria Fernanda Carrascal, a Representative to the Chamber for Bogota.
They reported that, in recent days, an AI-manipulated video has circulated in which Zuleta’s identity is impersonated and she is attributed statements she never made.
The statement added that this action is accompanied by fabricated content, false posts, and messages intended to deceive the public, damage the congresswomen’s reputations, and undermine their political work.
Highlighting this concern, the group cited an investigation by the independent digital media outlet *Cuestion Publica*, which identified 5,000 posts from 3,626 accounts in just five and a half hours, documenting patterns of digital saturation and hyperactive accounts showing signs of low authenticity.
According to the report, these tactics are aimed at encouraging support for right-wing ideas and slogans aligned with the current government—such as “defenders of the Homeland”—while saturating public discourse and drowning out critical voices.
Consequently, the Pacto Historico called on the Attorney General’s Office and the National Police—including their specialized cybercrime units—to investigate the matter, and urged the National Electoral Council to determine whether these digital operations are linked to campaigns, political organizations, contractors, or funding sources subject to oversight.
