The demonstration will begin at Morro do Cristo, in Bahia, as part of the “Brasil com S” (Brazil with an ‘S’) campaign, organized by the National Union of Students (UNE).
This initiative comes responding statements by Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, who was defeated in the October 25 presidential elections.
He spread a letter in which he initially presented himself as the “true president-elect,” despite official results declaring current President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva as the winner.
The document, released on October 28, originally featured an emblem with the inscription “Estados Unidos do Brazil” (United States of Brazil), using an archaic spelling of the country’s name.
In a later version, the symbol was replaced, and the phrase “true president-elect” was changed to “leader of Brazil.”
The UNE’s call to action upholds the integrity of the electoral process and the sovereignty of the Brazilian people.
