As of 05:00 hours (local time), 18 substations and 208 distribution circuits representing 628,861 customers (451.03 MW) had been restored. Healthcare services in hospitals are operating, and the water supply has been restored, the UNE informed.
The Cuban Energy and Mines Ministry also confirmed that Unit Three of Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Thermoelectric Power Plant (CTE) in Cienfuegos has been incorporated.
It was previously reported that Maximo Gomez CTE in Mariel, Unit Five of the CTE at 10 de Marzo Thermoelectric Power Plant in Nuevitas, units One and Three in Santa Cruz, Unit Eight in Mariel, and Energas Varadero and Boca de Jaruco have been already been conected to the system.
