Guo affirmed that the “Taiwan independence” separatist forces and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities are “going against the trend of history” and lack support.

The spokesperson noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between this nation and Honduras, bilateral ties have developed rapidly based on the one-China principle.

The official emphasized that both countries have expanded practical cooperation in several sectors, which has contributed to the economic and social development of that nation.

Guo underscored that these facts demonstrate that the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Honduras serves the fundamental and long-term interests of both countries and their peoples.
