The meeting, which will be held until tomorrow in a mixed format – virtual and face-to-face – includes on its agenda legislative, economic and social issues of national interest.

This Wednesday is scheduled the inauguration of new deputies. The parliamentarians will also receive information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the international situation and its impact on Cuba.

The organization process and implementation of economic and social transformations will also be addressed, after the first month of their implementation.

The deputies will examine the implementation of the approved State budget for 2026 in the first stage of the year and the report on the liquidation of the budget for 2025, accompanied by the opinion of the Economic Affairs Committee, will be presented.

Legislative activity will occupy a central place in this period, with the analysis of the Law on Agricultural and Forestry Development, the Law on the Organization of the Central State Administration, the Housing Law, the Labor Code and the Law on the Identity and Residence System.

These regulations are part of the process of updating and improving the Cuban legal system.
