Less than 5,000 daily cases of Covid-19 in Russia
Moscow, Aug 11 (Prensa Latina) Russia registered 4,495 cases of the SARS CoV-2 coronavirus in a single day, falling below 5,000 daily cases for the first time since last April 23rd.
This figure ends a 21-day streak with less than 6,000 infected with Covid-19, with the total rising to 897,599, after more than 31 million diagnostic tests, according to the operational staff against the disease.
Six thousand four hundred ninety-four patients were discharged on Monday, for a total of 703,175 so far. This leads to a national recovery rate of 78 percent.
The number of deaths in one day was 130, for a total of 15,131 deaths, and with this the fatality rate rose to 1.69 percent.
Twenty deaths were reported in Saint Petersburg, 14 in Moscow, while the provinces of Rostov and Novosibirsk had seven each and the Krasnoyarsk region had six.
In addition, 1,043 patients recovered in Moscow alone, for a total of 191,598, while there were 694 cases in one day, for a cumulative of 249,417, bringing the recovery rate to 76,81 percent.
One hundred eighty-nine patients left the hospitals, and 160 were discharged in the provinces of Moscow and Rostov, and 157 for Nizhegorod.
