DPRK flowers on Fidel Castro's birthday
Havana, Aug 14 (Prensa Latina) Fidel Castro's 94th birthday was remembered by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) with flowers in front of the burial mound that holds the Cuban leader's remains, at the Santa Ifigenia cemetery, 900 kilometers east of here, a diplomatic statement said Friday.
According to the text on the tape accompanying the special floral arrangement prepared for the occasion, it reads in Korean language ¨The feats of comrade Fidel will shine forever¨.
It added that the action was carried out by the Pyongyang embassy in Havana on behalf of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the government, people and all institutions of the DPRK. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) recalled that the DPRK like Cuba attaches high value to its diplomatic and comradely relations based on the friendship and special admiration professed by the historic leaders of the two countries, Fidel Castro and Kim Il Sung.
It mentioned that Cuba and the DPRK established diplomatic relations on August 29, 1960, and since then have maintained fraternal ties, and are brothers in the struggle for Socialism and against imperialism.
