Vietnam corners Covid-19: 18 days without community infection
Hanoi, Sep 20 (Prensa Latina) Of the 1,068 cases of Covid-19 reported by Vietnam in almost eight months, only 126 remain active today and the death toll remains at 35 for a formidable rate of 0.3 deaths per million inhabitants.
The commission in charge of containing the pandemic informed that this Sunday will be 18 days without indigenous infections, a clear sign of control over the resurgence of the disease in the central city of Da Nang and its spread to other territories.
Today, the number of days without human losses was also extended to 17.
Among the patients still hospitalized, 25 tested negative to two or three tests for SARS-Cov-2 and 14 to one, while only two present a compromised health status and receive assisted ventilation.
Meanwhile, about 24,000 people are under quarantine or under medical monitoring in specialized centers or in their homes, almost all of them repatriated from other nations.
