Cuba draws attention to nature tourism
Havana, Sep 24 (Prensa Latina) The commercial director of Cuba's travel agency ECOTUR, Francisco Longino, confirmed on Thursday on Facebook that the company will hold the international nature tourism event Turnat 2021 in September next year.
Cuba's tourism authorities highly consider the importance of trips related to nature and adventures, judging by the opinions disclosed by that company.
Longino explained that that event, one of the most remarkable in Latin America and the Caribbean in terms of travel with those modalities, will take place from September 21 to 25, 2021 in the western region of Cuba.
The encounter usually attracts many Latin American and European experts (tour operators and travel agents) to catch up on nature and adventure tourism, among other issues it tackles, as it also dedicates its discussions and tours to agricultural tourism.
For next year's edition, the agency plans 11 eco-nature-adventure routes, among them hiking, horseback riding, adventure and air sports, bike-cycle and buggy, mountain biking, bird watching, fishing, diving, kayaking, nautical, and rural and farm tourism.
According to Longino, the Turnat call will have the particularity of being carried out under the precept of healthy and safe tourism, under health and safety protocols - he underscored.
Previous the pandemic, Cuba received over four million foreign visitors per year, and a relevant amount of that figure already took vacations on the country through nature and adventure plans.
