Cuba committed to reducing carbon emissions
Havana, Oct 21 (Prensa Latina) Cuba is currently committed to reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions into the atmosphere, as part of the strategy to fight climate change.
In this regard, Cuba decided to set on going electric vehicles capable of performing the same functions as combustion engine vehicles, but with lower emissions and energy consumption.
Recently, the release of the so-called Ecotaxis, fully electric tricycles that began circulating in Havana from bus and train stations to Hermanos Ameijeiras Hospital, made news on the country.
During the opening ceremony, Transport Minister Eduardo Rodríguez stated the assembly of 23 electric vehicles allows to materialize Cuba's will to fight climate change, according to the Cuban News Agency.
