Syria reports 5,224 Covid-19 cases
Damascus, Oct 22 (Prensa Latina) With 44 new cases, the number of Covid-19 patients reached 5,224 in Syria, the Ministry of Health informed on Thursday.
Some 1,629 have recovered from the disease, while three people died in the last 24 hours, totaling 257 deaths so far since the pandemic was detected in this nation on March 22.
Syria maintains borders closed and restrictive measures at workplaces, commercial centers, service centers, schools and religious institutions.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Hassan al-Ghabbash told the press that all protection supplies for health personnel are ensured, emphasizing the need that all health workers use them properly.
The Ministry of Technology and Communications provided health personnel with free offers to stay in constant communication with their workplaces and stay up-to-date with the latest international Covid-19-related studies and research and the certified treatment protocols locally and internationally, Al-Ghabbash said.
