Iranian Foreign Minister condemns terrorist attack in France
Tehran, Oct 30 (Prensa Latina) Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Yavad Zarif on Friday strongly condemned the terrorist knife attack in Nice, France, adding that radicalism only breeds more radicalism.
In a message on social networks, disseminated in local media, Zarif specified the vicious circle of hate speech, provocations and violence must be replaced by reason and sanity.
'We should recognize that radicalism only breeds more radicalism, and peace cannot be achieved with ugly provocations,' Zarif noted.
On Thursday, an attacker with a knife stabbed three people and wounded several more at a Nice church.
There are some suspicions that it is about a revenge for statements by the French President, Emmanuel Macron, about an alleged decline of Islam and the defense of alleged free expression in the face of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad published in the European country.
