With 49 members since its founding in July 2019, in the Mexican city that gives it its name, the Puebla Group has been growing in recent months and today it is composed of prestigious figures of progressive thought in Latin America and Spain.
On the Argentine side, the encounter will be attended by President Alberto Fernandez, Foreign Minister Felipe Sola, Senator Jorge Taiana and former Minister of Labor Carlos Tomada, founding members of the alliance.
Brazil will be represented by former presidents Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff; former ministers Fernando Haddad and Celso Amorim and jurist Carol Proner, while Bolivia will be represented by former president Evo Morales and current Vice President David Choquehuanca, among others.

Buenos Aires, Jan 27 (Prensa Latina) Progressive leaders from 17 countries will participate on upcoming Friday in the 5th meeting of the Puebla Group, which will review the regional situation and the economic effects in Covid-19 times, according to organizers.
The meeting, which will be held virtually, will bring together various international voices that will also discuss the Progressive Manifesto, a document under construction by the founders of this alliance, which includes figures such as President Alberto Fernandez. It is also expected the presence of members of the Latin American Council for Justice and Democracy (CLAJUD), a legal dimension tool founded within the Group, and representatives of the Ibero-American Parliamentary Group, born to develop and articulate initiatives that can be translated into bills in the region.
