Gastronomic festival begins in Chile

Entitled Pacific Cuisines, the festival will be celebrated online due to restrictions implemented in the country to curb the spread of Covid-19, although its organizers opted for celebrating it and thus revive the culinary industry.
The event is also an opportunity to promote sustainable fishing and aquaculture, taking into account the strong ties between the local gastronomy and that practice.
According to the group in charge of the festival, it will be attended by international chefs from Venezuela, Peru, Spain, Morocco, Ecuador, South Korea, Colombia and Mexico, among others.
In addition, gastronomic experts and critics will lecture on different characteristics of food and social inclusion and will share capsules about the impact of the pandemic on the ways of consuming certain products.
