In addition, the achievements of the Cultiva tu Pedacito Program, the family gardens, as a contribution to the national economy and local self-sufficiency, were also analyzed. During the meeting, the Provincial Secretariat was elected and approved the delegation of 26 Spiritans to the X Congress to be held from September 26 to 28 in the capital of the country.

Celebran asamblea previa al X Congreso de CDR en provincia de Cuba
Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, 13 jul (Prensa Latina) Gerardo Hernández, Héroe de la República de Cuba y coordinador nacional de los Comités de Defensa de la Revolución (CDR), presidió hoy la Asamblea X Congreso de la organización en esta central provincia de Cuba.
El miembro del Comité Central del Partido Comunista (PCC) exhortó a activar las acciones de la organización a partir de las experiencias locales, sin abandonar la principal tarea, la guardia cederista, dijo.
Los espirituanos tienen que encontrar sus estrategias, sin recetas, para fortalecer y mantener viva y activa la vigilancia revolucionaria, proteger los bienes del Estado, la sociedad, las comunidades, agregó.
En la asamblea, a la que asistieron 119 delegados e invitados de todos los territorios, se pasó revista al quehacer de los CDR y su papel en los momentos actuales donde los comprometidos tenemos la obligación de enfrentar los retos y avanzar, indicó Gerardo.
Deivy Pérez, miembro del Comité Central y primera secretaria del PCC en la provincia, destacó el aporte de los cederistas a la condición de Destacado que obtuvo el territorio en el contexto de las actividades por el 26 de Julio.
En este momento histórico, señaló la también miembro del Parlamento cubano, hace que los CDR estén mucho más comprometidos en unión de todo el pueblo para adelantar en todos los frentes, producir y crear para solventar las problemáticas que hagan más llevadera la vida a la familia cubana.
Los debates se centraron en el fortalecimiento del trabajo con las familias, los jóvenes, así como avanzar en la aplicación de los lineamientos de la política comunicacional del país y hacer un mejor uso de las tecnologías de la información en el combate sistemático en las redes sociales frente a las campañas mediáticas contra la Isla.
Además, se analizaron los logros en el Programa Cultiva tu Pedacito, los huertos familiares como aporte a la economía nacional y al autoabastecimiento local. También los asistentes exigieron el cese del criminalinjusto bloqueo económico, comercial y financiero que mantiene el gobierno de Estados Unidos contra Cuba hace más de 60 años.
Durante la jormada se eligió el Secretariado Provincial y aprobó la delegación de 26 espirituanos al X Congreso que sesionará del 26 al 28 de septiembre en la capital del país.
