“Bolivia in the world and the world in Bolivia. Step by step, this week will be important. Next up is Chile, and then the King of Spain is coming,” Paz told reporters after arriving at the airport in La Paz department, accompanied by Foreign Minister Fernando Aramayo.
The head of State confirmed that he will be present on March 11 at the inauguration ceremony of Chile’s President-Elect Jose Antonio Kast, with whom he met last weekend in Miami.
During the meeting with Kast, they discussed trade, security, and regional integration aimed at consolidating bilateral relations (currently maintained at a consular level) and planning for coordinated efforts in the near future for the benefit of both nations.
The president will receive King Felipe VI of Spain in Bolivia the following day.
The Bolivian administration views Felipe VI’s visit as part of a strategy aimed at restoring international trust, strengthening bilateral relations, and regaining influence in multilateral organizations.
Aramayo announced that a peace visit to European countries such as Spain, Germany, Belgium, and France will be organized afterward, with an agenda that will include Brussels, the headquarters of the European Union (EU).
