Maduro and Cilia congratulate Venezuelan children on Children’s Day

Caracas, Jul 19 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela's constitutional president, Nicolas Maduro, and his wife, legislator Cilia Flores—who were abducted 198 days ago by the United States—sent a letter to the so-called "Brilliant Generation" of the 21st century on Children's Day.

The presidential couple, currently held in a New York prison awaiting a new hearing scheduled for July 22, stated that Venezuelan children “are the brilliant generation of the 21st century, the purest seed of life, and the greatest hope for the Homeland and the world.”

In a post published on the leader’s X account, Maduro and Cilia—who were abducted on January 3 during an operation by US special forces—advocated for making “our boys and girls a brilliant generation in terms of values, education, love, joy, and creative capacity.”

The dignitaries called for protecting Venezuelan children with “love and blessings” as a “divine mandate,” noting that they are the most important priority and must be at the center of “our daily lives: in the family, the community, the school, and society as a whole.”

They also urged everyone to learn from the children’s innocence in order to reach the highest “human vibration of life, love, and creative power.”

The leaders noted that their smiles hold “God’s message” of a new world, while their games, questions, and dreams contain “the strength” to build a new society based on dignity, freedom, equality, and ultimate happiness.

Maduro and Cilia, citing passages from the Gospels of Matthew and Mark, stated: “Cilia and I send our eternal love and blessings to our seven grandsons and ten granddaughters, and to all the boys and girls of our beloved Venezuela,” who represent the greatest force driving “our spirit of liberty and dignity.”
