Dominican authorities report 775 deaths and 35,148 Covid-19 cases
3 de julio de 2020, 17:40Santo Domingo, Jul 3 (Prensa Latina) Dominican Ministry of Public Health accumulated on Friday 775 deaths from Covid-19 and 35,148 Covid-19 cases so far.
According to the usual press briefing on Friday, regarding Covid-19 cases, 3,511 are isolated in hospitals and 12,470 are confined at homes.
Of the total cases, the average age is 39 years old, 125,393 people tested negative for carrying the novel coronavirus and there are 18,392 recoveries from Covid-19.
The provinces with the highest number of infections by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus are Santo Domingo (10,225), the Distrito Nacional (9,336), Santiago (2,557) and San Cristobal (2,144).
Regarding deaths, the briefing sets out that the average age is 65 years old, 68.9 percent are men, whose health records showed long-standing chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
Health authorities registered on Friday another ten deaths, four were in Santo Domingo, four in the Distrito Nacional, one in La Vega and the other two in Santo Domingo, one in Elias Piñas and the other in San Jose de Ocoa.
