Panama, 5 Sep (Prensa Latina) With 2,176.60 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, Panama reportedly led this rate in the Americas until August 30, according to the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
It surpassed Chile, Peru, Brazil and the United States, countries that had figures above the continental average of 1,278.70; it also occupied the sixth place in the region in average mortality with 47.2 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, with a sustained tendency to increase, according to the international organization.
